Flashing/Updating samsung drives

I have this drive and am concerned about which firmware is XBL safe. I read about the AP25 patching procedure but my understanding is that this drive cannot read this so this patching is unnecessary.

If your original system is ORIGINALLY Samsung (not a refurb returned as a Samsung) then just use a Samsung drive flashed with LT v1.0. You can use the latest dashboard and you dont have to patch your AP25 games as the drive does not have AP25 built in.
But also in the FAQ is a statement not to play games with AP25 technology in ANY drive that does not have LT+1.1 (which the samsung cannot use)
Can someone help me resolve which of the 2 statements above is correct. And where does iXtreme 1.61 fit in with the Samsung? is it preferred to LT 1.0?

just use LT v1.0. and the new dash and you are safe as any other backup. samsung cannot do the ap2.5 check so you will never have an ap2.5 problem with LT v1.0. make sure to patch your games with the latest abgx too before you burn them.

trying to flash ms 28 followed the jf tut bit by bit got all the way through it wrote then verified all good to 1.91 then plugged all together and nothing,
so put back to see what was happening and jf will not find the drive tried god knows how many times refresh refresh, but just can't find the drive using ck3 pro 360usb molex power supply.
i have the key but just a touch lost have done benq since so i know the bits work any help please
