LITEON DG-16D2S Flashing with LT Switch.

ive got a liteon phat drive and was flashed by someone yrs ago (LT1.1) when it was new. i believe that it has the LT switch soldered on. i never got my ofw dump off this bloke. i do have a dummybin file from when i got it upgraded to LT2.0 but im not sure if its correct as this bloke emailed it to me 2weeks later. plus my m8 has same prob but he dont have a dummybin file. :facepalm:

SO now i have all the gear to flash myself now.......

my question is can i just follow this tut to extract dummybin if i do have LT switch installed in drive- http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=66257

OR do i do something else as i cant find any info on my situation.

I don't think I would have a switch... that's a new one to me. Post pic of PCB if possible

If your drive is currently working and you follow the tutorial, using the equipment stated. You will have no problems.

The Xecuter LT Switch (MRA Hack) was used for 83850C v2 and 93450C drives, since PMT the switch is no longer needed.

Not sure if PMT/Probe 3 method will work with the switch installed, I guess it doesn't matter, but starting on page 117 of JF tut 1.4.4 there's a guide for people with the LT Switch installed.

Yeah I was wondering if the probe3 would work or not with switch installed. If my dummy file is ok then its not a problem for me but is for my m8 when its time for him to upgarde!!

my dummy bin is ok but my m8 aint got a dummy bin.

after some good advice from N E MODZ (dale) he said that probe3 will work if switch is left in normal position. admin can now change thread to answered if they like.
