What is wrong with this thing? My pc will not detect it at all. I have the chip on it which is a x2 2.3b chip, the blue light is soild so are the red lights. The programmer or chip just is not recognized at all. I have winxp sp2. I tried turning off the antivirus soft to no advail. I turned off the firewall though. Why is it not being recognized?

Do you have X2BM set to the proper address? Are you connecting the programmer via cable or direct to the computer? Do you have access to any other computer you can try?

I am connecting it to the lpt port or printer port, it`s set for ecp and I have tried epp and multi directional. I`m connecting it to the port directly. I have and older laptop that had winme on it and I put xp on it, it still does not see the programmer or chip.

BTW, I think the LEDs lighting up just happens because the programmer board is getting 5v from the USB attachment and the chip has a completed circuit from the 5v in to ground. Doesn't mean anything more than that you have the chip attached correctly and that the programmer has power...

0909 used to be associated with the X2 Pro, when there was no switch attache to it.

Does the code change if you change the chip type and/or the LPT port?
