Flashing X3 1957 on a v1.0 issues...

I'm new in the whole x-box modding scene, and I'm having a few issues with flashing my bios. The install went fine, not a big deal. But when it came to flashing the chip, things went a bit weird. The flash said it went ok, bar fully to green, and then showed a blank screen. After I reboot, instead of loading the x3 bios, FlashBios poped up on screen again. I've kept the jumper settings the same (on, on, off, off, off). I also checked my solder on all the pins, especialy 13/14, but no luck.

Any ideas? Should I just test my solder again? Should I reflash to the 5678 slot (off, on, off, off, off)? Thanks for any and all help you guys can give me, and thanks for being patient with someone who's new to the scene.

Have you tried flashing it a second time? Maybe try the new 1959 BIOS instead?

I'll test that now. Should I try to put it in 1234? Or ist that area more or less done for since the flash didn't work earlier?

What DVDs?

This far, I've always used verbatim (to be exact, these: http://www.sweburn.com/product.php?productid=2&cat=5&page=2)

But now, I saw Sweburn (which is the place i always buy my DVDs from), now also got these: http://www.sweburn.com/product.php?productid=374&cat=5&page=1

I've never even heard of a brand called Aone, but 25 DVD+DLs for the same price as 10 of verbatim almost sounds too good to be true.

The Aone discs are ok to use as ive used them before. People say Verbatims are the best to use for Burning but it doesn't really matter as long as you burn the image at 2x or 2.4x and a descent burner.
