I Just discovered that it exist 2 methods for hacking the xbox 360 console for playing backups games.

so here the BIG question! What are the best methods???
modding the console with the chip, or using the flashware??

Since both cost about the same...
about 160 $ for the store to do it for you.(might vary in diffrent countries)

So i'm pretty confused here about the choice i have! :?

Could some1 help me to eliminate one of the choice...

The firmware flash is free if you do it yourself. :)
Personally i have never used the "mod chip" but i have had no problems with the firmware flash. If you get the chip you stuck with that version of the chip. With the firmware when theres a update to the firmware you just update it.....for free

I prefer flash over chip. Chips are for people who can't be bothered to troubleshoot problems and those with a lack of problem solving skills. Or no patience. The ability to just solder in a chip and not have to worry about "messing" with anything appeals to them. I'd take a free, functional firmware flash any day.

Flash is the way to go. You can continually update flashes but possibly not with a chip. Also you need to buy the chip which will set you back $

Go to the left hand side of the page and click on Chatroom. Alternately click here
Many if not all of the people in there can help you.

Textbook also offers a 360 flashing service if you can not or do not have the a.Time B. Equiptment or c. Experience. It is 30$ a believe and 10 dollars shipping for just dvd drive or 15 for entire console.
Click here for more information. You can send an email to talk with Textbook if, this is the route you take.

It is not all about money for him either. I was going to pay him to do it for me but he answered my questions for me and helped me do it myself. I have heard that he has fast turn around time and great service.

No both the firmware and chip will do the same thing and as of yet nobody has been banned from XboxLive.

The firmware mod is the obvious choice for the modders (it's free)

Some chips will actually disable the network when running a backup though, so that's what xbox360hacker is saying. You can control this though, during the installation. If you WANT the network to cut off so it doesn't try to access Live with your backups, then you solder the wire. If you WANT to play your backups on Live, then you can leave the wire off. I think anyways..
