Flasing benq on phat xbox concerned

I've been researching for the last week and I'm ready to flash my benq drive using my desktop computer with sata ports. However, I am concerned that if i flash it using my Xbox 360 to power the benq drive I could possibly get banned when playing my backups online. Is this true? If so do i need to purchase a CK3PRO to power the drive while I'm flashing it? Or do I need something else to power the drive? Thanks for the help!

It's advised to not use the console as a power source while flashing as it can create a flag in your NAND that your console was booted with no drive attached, at the same time m$ has not banned consoles for this reason so its really do at your own risk
