Hi all so i went to maplin and bought a no clean flux pen the one xecuter advises, but i dont really get what it is or what im supposed to do with it. Do i put it on all connections before i solder and after or just after? Also how much should i be using.

You put it on the solder points before you solder, use it moderately. Have a practice at something other than your exploitable 360.
You put it on before. It to make the solder work properly.
Are you sure you should be soldering? No offence but that's a very basic principle of soldering and you want to attack you mobo with a soldering iron.

ive been practasing soldering on a old dvd player 
my soldering isnt bad but ive just never came across flux before ive used somthing similar in welding but i wanted to be fully sure.
