I have a slim that I tried to dump the nand on but kept getting the "Looking for usb interface device Can not continue" error. I then popped off a resistor screwing around and decided it was time to send it out.

I sent it to a very respected pro installer that has a great reputation here to do the RGH. This is in no way bashing his efforts and he is going to refund some of my money. He repaired my resistor but said he was unable to dump the nand.

Have you guys gotten any boxes that would just not dump?

Slims - nope. I've done over 40 slims with RGH now and every one of them worked fine.

I hate to say it, but the problems occur when people can't solder and inadvertently short or bridge something.

none yet mate - I cannot think of any reason why a working xbox will not dump the NAND - something else must be damaged if niether of you can get the NAND dumped

EDIT: keyboard racing with Martin lol

I got that error on a couple consoles but it was the soldering I just didn't put enough solder on one point so I would say it was your soldering

Well thanks for the replies guys. I don't know what to think now. The slim is being sent back to me now so I guess i will have to examine it to see just exactly what was done to it. Maybe I'll have to have another pro take a look at it.
