well i figured it out was easier than it looked from the forum info.
downloaded new bios version for X3 was still able to hook up to my flashfxp with the x3-x3 password, and user info, so i transfered it to the c:/bios folder along with the executer 2 bios.flipped my dip switches to bank 5 and turned on the xbox with the backup bios. loaded the bios with flashbios V3.0.0, turned the xbox back on loaded evox dash and reconnected with flashfxp this time using the xbox-xbox password and username. I added a folder under drive F: as apps since there was no folders on f: recognized in the x2 bios, I transfered the default.xbe, (included with the X3 bios download), file to that folder, then reboot the x-box still staying with the x2 bios and loaded the default.xbe file. After a couple seconds the xbox turns off, turn the dip switches back to the x3 bios banks and turn the x-box on, it will load back to the x3config live screen. Done deal and takes less than 10 minutes. I hope this helps other peeps with the same problem.L8TER Big_D :)

Lite-on 93450c(what to do?)

Hi i recently purchased a arcade 360 and i wanted to flash. So i opened up the box and what do you no it was a lite-on DG-16D2s-09c. Fw: 93450c , Hw:AoA2. So i did some research online and i thought all i neeeded to do was use a probe and a connectivity kit but i guess i was wrong. After many trials and error using the basic method to get a lite-on key(i guess this only works with the earlier versions), i stumbled across some info about having to solder this specific drive? Now ive flashed many benqs and sammys in the past and i have no exp. in soldering. I found something called Xecuter LT Switch that looked alil easy to install for noobs with no exp on soldering. IS it possible i can get some kind of guidence or advice on where to get one of these from. And then from there maybe alil help on getting my dump properly. And after doing countless hours of reading i decided to try to get a fill for the points needed to b soldered on my drive. So i removed the 3 cables n looked on the other side and i found a lil sticker that said this on it

4-r-P
f/w:93450c-2
M1

Im not sure if this makes a difference or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I no there r some people prolly with this problem buh this is my first time ever working with a lite-on so id rather get help from someone vs jus reading a write up. Thanks in advanced.

p.s. IF anything ive said is against the rules here can someone plz email me at [email protected]

Thanks

Re: Lite-on 93450c(what to do?)

I've just done my first MRA dump with the LT switch today, one thing that supprised me was how much smaller the actual thing is compared to how big the diagrams make it look, I would recommend practicing abit before soldering to the drive, also make sure you use flux, i didnt and had a hard job making the solder stick. Once it is soldered its easy enough to dump.
power on with switch in normal position
intro
when you get the message box popup power off drive and switch the switch to RW
power back on, you should get status 72
switch switch back to normal and read it, after that treat it as any other liteon

Re: Lite-on 93450c(what to do?)

Thanks for the info, i really appreciate it. Quick question, well acouple. So when u say intro do u mean goin str8 to the mtk flash tab after i open up jungleflasher? and once i do all u said to do, then i can i jus go to dvdkey32 tab and get the dump using the probe and clicking on the dvdkey32 button? Another question is do i have to connect those three laser cables at all while im in the process of dumping or do i worry bout that after im done with everything? And where did u get ur Lt switch from? Last question is when i desolder the points to detach the LT switch do i have to resolder anything or cover up any of the points or can they stay exposed the way they are after i desolder. Sorry for so many questions man, this is my first lite-on i jus wanna make sure i cover everything to make this easy for me.

Thanks again for the help boss.

Re: Lite-on 93450c(what to do?)

you dont use dvdkey32, you do it all in mtk flash, i got the LT switch off ck3.co.uk. Once the LT switch is soldered on just leave it in place after the flash, when the switch is in the normal possition the drive functions as normal so no need to repair the traces you cut, also you dont use the 7 series probe on 9 series, there is a 9 series probe you can buy but this still requires you to cut the traces and repair them. http://www.team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=52557
thats a really good tutorial on how to install the LT switch.
when flashing it you can just leave the pcb disconnected from the cables you removed. If your planning on doing a few of these drives in the future and are not confident in your soldering i would recommend getting the maximus vampire probe, a fiber glass pen to remove the protecive coating on the traces and a conductive pen, this way you could do the whole thing without soldering.

Re: Lite-on 93450c(what to do?)

Sorry to hijack thread,
I've been researching also as I have same drive Liteon with 93540C F/W.
If the switch is left in place and it's off does the drive show a stock allow LIVE use, or does it still dump info to the NAND which my upload to MS at some point resulting in a ban?
I'd just like a switchable option like my dear old Blaster NE that was on my old 360 that dies.
Thanks

Re: Lite-on 93450c(what to do?)

the switch is only used to get the drive into vendor mode to read the firmware, when the switch is in the normal position the drive functions as normal. As of now LT is undetectable on live so you should be fine with fully stealthed games. The switch does not allow you to switch between stock and LT, its purely there to dump the drive

Re: Lite-on 93450c(what to do?)

Thanks for all the info, i ordered the lt switch from ck3.co.uk. so i will see if everything goes well. Once again thanks for all ur help. I wanted to keep the switch incase i ever run into another lite-on buh i guess with them being so cheap i could jus order a few of em.
