there is a password eraser tool labled epprom eraser in the usual places together with the x3 bios.

that will erase all your settings

i believe it erases the epprom chip fitted to you X3 since that is where all the password settings are kept

as a side note you might want to backup your bios again right afterward in case the tool erases the backup

flash x3 with an x2 bios 4981/4983 on to one of its banks preferably bank 5 becuz 1-4 are taken by x3 bios (1 mb) to flash the bank 5 u'll have to do it througgh cromwell/flashbios but that should have been something u done at first :D now once flashd x2 bios, ftp in load that eraser file u got with x3 bios package, rename it to default.xbe launch it with xbmc! (i found it launched with that) and boom x3 bios back on preset settings! have fun

I had a sticky tutorial for this...I'll have to make it again...also check and make sure you didn't set a password that was more than 8 characters long...the X3 will only store the first 8 or less characters. This usually solves most of the password issues.
