My xbox frags sometimes, and sometimes it works perfectly. The ennoying thing is that it resets the time & date everytime it frags so i can´t keep this up. How do i fix this?
Please explain in detail because I am a newbie at this.

My Xbox: 1.6 (How do I know if it´s a or b?)
Modchip: Xecuter 3 with External Switch
Flashbios: 3.01
Bios: X3 1959 bios
Manufacture Year: 2004

btw. I tried searching the forum but i didn´t find something useful :)

Thx for ur help

Sounds like you have a dry solder joint. This happens in electronics when the solder heats up, it can sometimes crack. This could be causing your problem, Just resolder your points

So you mean the ones on the backside of the motherboard then? But why is it heating up.. would it really help to solder them all again?

Does it only FRAG when you attempt to use to stock dashboard's music rip function? Or does it FRAG at other times as well?

If it only FRAGs when you attempt to rip music, that mean's your stock file system is corrupt, meaning somehow those files and programs used during ripping got deleted: perhaps you accidently deleted them when you were installing other programs via FTP? Have you tried to use a dashboard hack that didn't quite work right? Either one of those could have caused it. My suggestion is that you either:

A. If you don't use XBox Live, then just delete all the stock files! You don't need them anymore. I get by just fine using UnleashX, XBox Media Center, and xToolbox. Or...

B. If you DO use XB Live, and if you have a friend who has a modded XBox as well, then ask to borrow his box for a day. Then, get the files you need from his XBox (this may be version dependant, but you'd have to ask somebody more knowledgable.) and FTP them to your's.

C. Find all the stock files on DC++ or XBins, although I'm not entirely sure whether they are there or not. As I said, I don't use stock files anymore, so I haven't looked for them.

Good luck!

Either my couch or my chair.
just use any of the auto installers to put stock files back on the drive.

A far more comprehensive list is stickied in the Xecuter 3 FAQ - you can't miss it, it currently appears on the front page of the forums list, but just in case Xbox Error Codes might be a give away ;)
