I recently purchased the xecuter 3 chip and installed it into
my Xbox which is a V1.6. The installation of the chip seemed to
go smoothly. When I turned on the xbox for the 1st time...i used
the quick press method so i would see the blue LED on the external
switch. What I saw was was the blue light up on the external switch,
but the xbox eject button LED flashed red/yellow and the xbox turned
off and turned back on with the same Blue LED on the switch and the
eject button LED flashed red/yellow. I saw activity on the HD and LAN
leds on the external switch, but the TV screen remained blue as if it
was not recieving a video signal. I also tried the push and hold button
method and the external switch displayed the RED Light, and the Xbox
booted up normal on the TV. I also was able to get the purple light
when I pushed both the eject and power buttons together.
My issue is I did not recieve the screen to prompt me to flash
the bios like the tutorial said I would when the Blue light lights up
on the external switch, and i was wondering if this was an indication
that the install of the modchip was incorrect? If this is common....I
was wondering what would be the best way to flash the bios of the chip
in this circumstance. I use flash fxp alot. If this is not correct do
you know any steps i could do to correct the problem.
