As the title states, I have a FRAG problem but I think it is due to a burnt trace on the LPC port. I am in the process of fixing it but I have one other problem that is bothering me. The X light stays red (when it should be blue) from a quick press of the power button. Does this mean D0 is not connected properly? I have check D0 over and over many times and it seems to be connected properly I have check for solder splashes with a magnifying glass. I would hate to go through fixing my burnt trace it still wont work.

If it helps, the xbox boots the M$ bios perfectly if I hold the power button down. Also, the X light does not turn Gray when I press both button simultaneously to boot the backup bios. Finally, both blue LEDs on the chip itself illuminate blue.

Thanks,

Andy

Yes, in theory, this would mean that the d0 connection isnt in the right place or is not connected propery - also check the plug that goes into the X3.

It's worth checking the LPC tho as well .... just in case.

if you can hold the button down and have it boot normally, from what i have read that means the D0 is fine. i have the exact same problem as you, and msot people say check the LPC solder job. have you checked the voltages you get? have you checked continuity with alternate spots on the board?

Yes I have checked my LPC voltages and did continuity tests with other spots on the board. I am pretty darn sure my D0 is soldered properly, but still no luck
