Hi, ive done a search on this on the forums but i havent found anything so i hope someone can help me. I have a v1.1 xbox and i received my X3 the other day.

I decided to install it today along with a Maxtor 160gb HDD and it was all going fine, i managed to get the D0 point dont nicely but i had some trouble with getting the pin header soldered in properly. On the first time i tried it it FRAG'd so i then started to touch up the soldering on the pin header. When i tryed it again...it FRAG'd again. This happened a couple of times. In the end i done it then when i tested it it worked fine and brought me to a bios page. So i went back downstairs and put all the screws in etc. and the top on. When i put it back in, it FRAG'd again. So i checked all the points and they all seemed fine. 1 more try and yet again it FRAG'd. When i opened it up after this time the side of my X3 had fryed. Its the side running from the pin header bit to the turning bit. The trace has actually broken off a bit.

Is it possible to repair this or should i go for another X3?
will the problem happen again if i do get another?
what can i do to assure that all the connections ive made are fine?

any help is much appreciated and from what i can see there is no visible damage to the mobo.
