I have a v1.4 xbox with the x3 chip. I have tried both the pin header install and the wire install and neither will work. both allow the xbox to boot to the ms dash when i hold the power button, but they frag when i tap the power button to try using the x3. I have checked and rechecked the solder points. on the wire install, i have used a multimeter on the pins and the back of the lpc to check for continuity and everything checks out fine. i have also unplugged the d0/hdd/lan plug from the chip to see if it acted the same or different, suspecting the d0 point may be bad. when i did this, the xbox booted straight to the ms dash so i am assuming i have a good d0 connection. i get 2 blue lights on the chip but the x on the front switch is always red even when it tries to boot with the modchip. Any ideas on what to try next? Thanks!
