Frag with Xapt3r and Xecuter 2.6

Hi guys.

I'm installing a Xapt3r and Xecuter in a 1.0 xbox but have been having Frag issues once the mod chip is installed onto the Xapt3r. The Xapt3r went on easily without any issues and turning on the xbox lights up all three blue leds. Once I install the Xecuter (plus switch board) the xbox attempts to start up 3 times and hangs on the 3rd with an alternating flashing red and green eject switch. During this, a red light on the Xapt3r near the screw lights up (under the corner of the Xecuter closest to the main system fan). The Xbox boots up normally when the mod chip "enable" is turned off before powering up. Also removing the Xecuter restores the Xapt3r to 3 blue LEDs upon power up. The wires going between the switchboard and the modchip are fully inserted and the switches and LEDs all appear to work. Any ideas on what I should check next?

Thanks a bunch!

Thanks for the quick reply. I've confirmed that the Xapt3r red light (d0 I believe. It's firmly inserted into the correct hole) does come on when the Xbox is powered up, although for only a short time along with the 3 blue lights which stay on constantly. (I think that's normal according to other posts I've read.)

I'm still having the same issue though whenever I add the chip.... The XBOX powers up 3 times then FRAGS unless I disable the chip with the switch, where it'll boot up normally.

this is a install problem, either the pins are not aligned correctly in the LPC, or the Do has not got a good contact (or the rebuild wires if it is a 1.6 console)

sometimes it is better to just get it soldered by a pro
The pins seem to be aligned correctly since I can see dimples in the solder that fills the 1.0 xbox LPC but I'll keep fiddling with it in hopes of getting it to work.

At least I'm a little bit closer now that I know that the red led should light up on the Xapt3r, no thanks to the instructions at

Success! I switched to an extra Xenium ICE universal solderless adapter that I had laying around and it boots up in both modes just fine. Since there are fewer LPC pins transferred to the Xecuter should I be concerned about any features being missing? Thanks for the help everyone!
