frag xbox after flash

Ok im running flash bios version 3.0.0 (on my x3, xbox version 1.2) so i thought i should update it to version 3.0.3 so i downloaded the flash update burnt it to a cd.
i made sure the switches on the front were on on off off (flash protection off) i then held the eject and power button (purple light on) on to get to the flash update screen, i then told it to flash update to the cd it found it updated then switched off!

i then turned it on and now i get on flash green then off, on flash green then off. and then it just frag!!...

im hoping some one can tell me what i have done wrong..

Flash Bios V3.03 is for Ver 1.6/B boxes. What happens if you boot the backup flashb bios again?

well if i hold the power and the eject in and make the light go purple i get into the backup bios and its still version 3.0.0.

So i take it i flashed my xbox with the wrong bios? im a little confused as it said it would work on earlier versions.

all i wanted to do was update my X3 to bios version 3294. did i go the wrong way about it?

kind of, just boot the backup flashbios and flash 3294 to the 1mb bank (on on off off).

thanks tchild. also how do i go about getting my flash bios 3.0.0 to version 3.0.3? is there anyneed to?

you don't what 3.03 for a v1.2 xbox, but you could use X3CL to reflash the backup rom with 3.01. but in my opinion there is no need
