Ok so here is the deal. I have a v1.3 xbox. I have the Xapt3r and the X3 chip. I put the Xapt3r on and i plugged it in. The xbox started up by itself and 1 out of 4 leds was red. So i removed everything and put my xbox back together. Now the xbox is fragging. On off on off on Red/green flashing

What do I do now?
will soldering it on fix this problem?
So I noticed the hole that this wire on the solderless adapter stick into is a tiny bit scratched but besides that nothing is wrong. I havent taken a soldering iron near it. Basically I have done nothing to the xbox but plug in a wire and now it is broken

sounds like you may have shorted something. i'm not an expert but that is what i would say you did since you haven't soldered.

Everything removed...did you remove the pwr/reset board too.
The one that the yellow cables connect to from the switch

Everything is back to original. As if I never had the x3
still frags.

I just broke the wire on the xapt3r trying to get it to stick into the correct hole. so I am gunna say f**k the adapter.

Will hard modding this (soldering) fix my problem?
or not likely?

I have exactly the same problem, i tried to install the X3 without any joy and now i have removed everything and the xbox just frags. I have a 1.6 and was going to swap with someone for a 1.4 but if i can't get it to work normally i'm stuffed. If anyone has any suggestions i would be very appreciative

no i did the LPC rebuild but it didn't work for me....now i need to get it back to normal. I can't see any excess solder or breaks??
