Hi everyone, i recently installed an Xecuter 2.6CE into my xbox (1.3 i think), the soldering etc went perfectly. It booted into flashbios first time and the flashing appeared to go fine, but when i flashed the bios it would keep returning to the flashbios screen when i rebooted (i have tried flashing from CD and HTTP). I then tried flashing the 5035 bios through flashbios and when i rebooted it restarts 3 times and then fraggs, there is no sound or video at this point, this happens on both banks one and two, and when i boot with chip off it displays the "05" "service required" screen. After reading posts on this forum i decided to buy a programmer, and this has not solved the problem either, i have tried flashing flashbios to both banks one and two, and i have tried flashing the 5035 bios, this still gives the fragging problem upon boot. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated, many thanks.

check xbox version
are you useing right bios
x2 5035 v1.0 to v1.5 xbox
x2 5035 v16 plus v1.6 and v1.6b xboxs

hi, iv just checked and my xbox is a 1.3, iv been using the x2_5035_vOld_512k bios, im not sure if im using the correct bios sizes when flashing

were did you get bios is it good
if not #xbins get it from there

yeh bios is off xbins, the problem occured after flashing, im quite sure the problem im getting with the switch turned off is because i unlocked the hard drive but im not sure what is causing the chip boot problems.

Sounds like you flashed with the wrong bios. 5035 is already 512k, so it doesn't have anything to do with the size.

hi, im quite sure i flashed the correct bios, iv tried flashing the bios to bank one and flashbios 3.0.3 twice on bank two (flashed with a programmer), and nomatter which order i flash it i still get the three boots and frag

check you have a v1.3 xbox

hmmm... so right now ur chip will just start off on the FRAG restart right...? if so either get a programmer to fix it or buy another chip and hot swap... programmer is cheeper, but excactley what and how did you flash it can you remember what bank the flash bios was on... it sounds like it was on bank 1 just because it's doing that, and sometimes when you have flash protect on and it's on the first bank it will do that... or if you just used the wrong size or the wrong bios for the chip, in other words... more info... that will help me and dj out...

sorry as i said i bought a programmer and ive tried flashing it with the bios on bank one and flashbios on bank two, it still restarts 3 times and frags even after using the programmer. When i originally flashed i used the cromwell linux bios, however the flashbios menu would keep booting instead of the bios, so i tried the 5035 bios and it gave this frag problem, this happens on both banks.

Are you sure you are using the right bios? Does flashing complete with the programmer?

try flashing with earlyer x2 bios
