Fragging r/g

I have an Xbox that was not modded and when it turns on it frags(on off flash red green) What does this most likely mean? I installed an X3 in it and it still does the same thing. I looked on XS and I couldnt really figure out what problem I had. Any help would be great. Thanks

I neglected to say that I do not get any video or audio. I have never had this problem with an unmodded xbox before. I looked again on XS and still cant tell what the problem is. Anyone ever had an xbox frag w/ red & green without a mod before?

hmmm, only time I ever had an xbox frag on me without a modchip installed was when I tried to install more ram and screwed my mobo up.

Did you buy it brand new or used? And did you mess with anything?

No it is used but it has never been opened. I figured it might be something simple or the eeprom or something so that is why I installed the chip to see if it would work.

Well, this thread seems to be my problem also.

I was attempting to mod my son's friend's Xbox (version 1.0 ) with an Xapt3r. I desoldered the LPC holes. Had difficulty with two of them but managed to get enough of the solder out so I could installed the adapter. The box Fragged (on off on off then on with red and green flashing) . I tried re-seating the adapter several times with no luck.

I then removed all of the mod components and tried to boot the box. It continued to FRAG. No video or sound. After the third FRAG, you can push the eject button and the DVD drive's motor turns on and off twice but the tray does not eject.

I checked for solder bridges, pulled traces, all of the obvious with not luck. All of the voltages are ok (gnd, +5, +12 and +3.3). I have continuity on all traces connecting to the LPC pins. I have the listed voltages on all of the LPC pins. Pin 1, measures 400 mV with the both the DVD and hard drive connected. D0 has continuity through the board.

With the mod installed, I get three blue leds and a solid red led, but no boot, just FRAG. Tried pressing the power button for shot and long periods. Same results.

So, any help would be appreciated.
