I have modded about a dozen xboxes. This one in particular is a 1.6 with an xecuter 2.6. It had been working fine for about a year but now it frags with the mod chip enabled or disabled or even removed entirely. There is no video but you can open the CD tray.
I took a look and one of the points on the LPC rebuild kit was loose, so I resoldered it, but this did not resolve the issue.
I'm wondering what kind of things can cause a xbox to frag. In particular if a bad HDD can cause it.
