FRAGS when chip is on

Hello. I've recently finished installing a v2.6 CE. All seemed to go well at first. I reassembled my XBox, turned the chip on, then the XBox, and it booted up normally. I played with the switches, but to no avail. I thought I should check the d0, cuz I heard that could be the problem. I noticed that it wasn't soldered clearly to the LPC rebuild. So I patched it up, reassembled and turn it on. This time however, it works fine when the chip is off, but when it's on the XBox turns off and on a few times, then starts FRAGing. Could I have maybe broken the d0 trace on the board? Anything else that could be causing this problem?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry i've been so long. It's been sitting in my closet til I could commit to try and fix it. Which point would it most likely be that's causing it to FRAG? D0? or any of the others?

LPC, a D0 point won't cause a frag.

Also, could it be a bad chip or bad BIOS on the chip? Cuz im looking at my soldering and it looks fine. If I can't get the soldering fixed (I admit, im not the greatest sodlerer, but it looks find here) and I broke a trace on one of them, would it be fine leaving it unfixed and just softmodding it?

WHY DID YOU NOT TELL US THIS IN THE FIRST PLACE
even softmoding it will still not get you xbox fixed its like haveing a six lane highway across a river with no bridge for the cars to cross fix trace first then try chip

No, no, no. You gotta read it all... "If I can't get the soldering fixed..and (still that if) I broke a trace on one of them..". I don't SEE a broken trace, unless it's under the LPC Rebuild. I'll take a closer look at the pinheader solder job a little later, and see if I missed anything. Sorry for any confusion on that.

Right now the XBox works just fine when the Chip is off. Would it still working mean that I didn't break a trace (under the LPC rebuild) and that it'd just be the pinheader install? So, if there WAS a broken trace that I can't see, would the XBox still be working with the chip off? Thus ruling out that I broke a trace underneath.

It would be tough to break a trace underneath the LPC rebuild, unless you did it before putting the board on. There are two points on the LPC rebuild board that are pretty close together. Check those carefully to make sure you didn't bridge them.

w00t...all fixed. It was D3 that wasn't soldered properly. Time to flash it and install XBMC. Thanks everybody.
