I believe my xbox version is 1.6b but it has samsung memory, but it did come in the holliday bundle. I believe my issue is because I don't have the correct bios I check with my retailer and it probably came with v3.01 they said. But when I press the power button quickly it will blink on once at the same time of the X3 logo showing as blue it will do this again then it will frag with the blue light staying constant. However if I hold the power button in it will boot games normally and the X3 unit will appear red. Is my issue the bios or soldering issue if it is a soldering issue any idea which freaking wire or location?

Please help!

x-clamp didnt fix 0022 secondary code

so first before i spout off i just want to make sure that the x-clamp fix is just taking off the cooling fins and reapplying the thermal paste to reseat them in the console and thats it right(other than putting everything back together again)?

so from there... i did just that to try to fix my rrod secondary error code of 0022. no luck on getting the console to respond. the rings dont light up and circle like they normally do on startup, they just remain dark for like 30 seconds until they blink the 1,3,4 player sections red and give me the 0022 code when i try for them...

nothing on screen, so the box is still f*d...

what would my next step be in trying to fix this 360? and should i devote my time/resources to do this or just trash this box and use it for parts or whatever?

Re: x-clamp didnt fix 0022 secondary code

I would replace not only the thermal compound but the X-Clamps themselves. Plenty of tutorials if you google it. I have to resurrect my old sammy 360 like every month lol. It's had the RRoD and E74 like 20 times and everytime I bring it back to life
