FIXED: freeboot installed but keeps booting type of xell?

:Dhi i have done many jtags and this is the first time ive delt with this, i have a xenon motherboard, dumped nand 3 times, o mismatched blocks in nandcompare, wrote xell, got cpu key, removed xell, created freeboot bin, wrote freebot bin and then when i go to boot up the freebotbin on my nand it goes to xell? when i write back my original nand it boots up fine but whenever i build another freeboot image and write to it it boots into xell? never seen this and ive done over 50 jtags, im using nandx (which is a great tool this is the first time ive had any trouble by the way!!) and it says on the beghiniing of the boot "wrong input" or somthing like that and then shows the normal efuses, anyone had this issue or know what to do, any help would be greatly appreciated.
p.s. and yes ive removed xell and freeboot and started from the begging many times and still same result

When it showed you xell after installing freeboot, did you reboot the console again straight away and if so did you still get xell again?

I'd suggest compiling freeboot using a different method other than what you currently using.

Also just as test, if you got the NAND of another xenon just use that to compile another copy of freeboot using the CPU key from the current console your working with.

Not very much what I would recommend, but it may work...

It should work, I tried it before and it worked. I only asked him to try this to see if the console will function as normal, if it did then the cause of the problem will be most likely his original NAND.

have to agree with m azeem k there is a link in the hombrew section on a tut I did to compile freeboot "manually" check it out, or tey the new ihc nand tool.

doing it manual with get rid of any errors, unless there ones you cause of course.

did you keep booting the Xbox360 with the Eject button instead of the regular power button after writing Freeboot? I think Xell only comes up with the Eject button and nothing else

That's the norm optantic, however few users including me experienced xell booting up when powered using the power button as normal. It only happened to me like once or twice, so it's a random thing but it does happen.

Tip: Of course if someone powers up the console using the eject button but quickly presses the eject button again so the disc tray goes back in, the console should boot as normal into Freeboot.

Didn't knew about the Tip...Thanks

Have you tried with another dvd drive (don't worry about the key) if the drive is foobar and shows as open all the time it will boot xell.
