JTAG freeboot

need some help installing freeboot as i dont wana mess up thanks

there are loads of tutorials on here, read them first, if you get stuck then ask...

i have tried jtag tool to reflash freeboot but the files i got from the guy who did the tag aint named the files properly so im confused just need abit of help i appreciate any help from any of you guys thanks

what are all the file names you have of all the files ?

1st file called (daniel cragg 28511 12625) 2nd file called (daniel cragg 280511) 3rd file called (daniel cragg 280511 no2) if that helps thanks

2nd and 3rd i would imagion to be orignal nand dumps... the first to be your freeboot... but im just guessing here from what you have posted..

when i do a nand compare it says 0 non-matching blocks found is that right

but just a quick note... why are you trying to update the dash 12625 ? as that is the latest any ways...

dno just learning i suppose and i have lost my dvdkey and dno how to get it back as when i boot xell it aint there

why wont it give me my cpu key then confusing this lol

CPU & DVD key usally shows at bottom of the screen on left hand side once xell has loaded... well it does with all of mine.. but you can get that info from one of your nand images in jtag tool..

click on KV info tab
open nand image
enter CPU key

then click get info

wont give me cpu key it says wrong key for everything ggrrr bet its summat simple n me being thick iv only just got a jtag and im absolutely stupid lol

you said you lost the DVD key.... oh im getting lost here... if the guy was any good who done this for you and he gave you all the files... as you have stated he gave you the nand dumps... but considering there was even confusion with them no wonder theres trouble....

my drive has recently broke well today no power and i booted xell to see if it was in there as looked on youtube and it wasnt in xell jtaggin stuff is confusing at the min lol feel like throwin them

yes i now but it aint in xell and jtag tool says wrong key etc probably me doin summat wrong i dno bt so far no joy

i understand you want to learn... then all i can suggest is go read up a little... you dont even need to update your jtag dash anyways... i wonder if you confuse CPU with DVD drive keys..
i just cant help explain it no more

Thats because you haven't input your cpu key in jtag tool.....I advised you to take a photo in your other thread
