Yeh i think ive done it right!

Here is my launch ini file....

[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = USB:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0DE99990F586558
Default = Hdd:\FSD2\default.xex
[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true

The only problem i think is when i ftp,ed everything over my xbox 360 hdd is named HDD1 and my external is USB0!

Do i have to change my ini file to HDD1 instead of HDD?

thanks

it can be a pian in the ass mate at first.
have your fsd folder in the hdd1 patition an your hd and name it fsd 2 then use this as your launch ini setup.
[QuickLaunchButtons]
BUT_X = Hdd:\Content\0000000000000000\C0DE9999\00080000\C0DE99990F586558
Default = Hdd:\fsd2\default.xex
[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true

will sort you right out.

no leave it as is but check the folder you have fsd in is named exactly like in your ini file. you have got the ini file on the hdd1 partition too right?

I normally just do this:
Code:
[QuickLaunchButtons]
Default = Hdd:\FSD2\default.xex
[Settings]
nxemini = true
pingpatch = true
Make sure FSD2 is named correctly and is in the root of HDD1 or the above launch.ini code will not work. Oh, and be sure to put launch.ini on the root of HDD1 as well :).

Good question.

DO NOT CREATE A NEW FILE!

Notepad etc adds data to the first sector of the file which shouldn't be there. You won't see it in notepad but it's there. Just edit the sample_launch.ini, rename and copy to the root of your disk.

If it's still not working, confirm where you have FSD copied and the xex filename.

did you try my launch ini set up mate? it booted straight to freestyle no problem with that config and it was used when i installed the dash launch on it. you will need to also change your FSD2 folder to fsd2 for use with my ini.
