I'm having the exact same problem, and this also just happened to me. I changed a networking setting in X3 config live and now am not able to get past x3 rox my box screen!

I tried switching from the 1234 banks to the 5678 banks and flashed x3_3294 (same bios i was originally using). When it booted up I had the same problem.

(Also, how do you replace a bios that is freezing like this and won't get into x3 config live?)

Ok i just figured out solution, there is a bug with the latest bios that if u set a bios password, it does not ask for the password on boot. as someone suggested on another thread, downgrade to 1892_BETA Bios, boot up, itll ask you for password, enter password and go erase that crap lol.

Then reupgrade back to the latest bios, and never set a password again.

I set the bios password and the bios hanged on Rox my Box screen.
This solution worked like a charm for me, I think they need to fix this bios bug asap though, it took me a while to find this solution in the threads. Thank you very much for your help. Xbox now up and running:)

I have had the same problem since any bios after 3029. I need password so no one mucks with it accidently, so it would be nice to see it fixed.

Just disable automatic booting to X3CL - if they know about booting with the white button, they're sure to know about holding A+B+X+Y to reset it!

So I may have happened to set a password as well... :\

If I can't get into the X3 Config menu, how am I supposed to re-flash the BIOS?

If you hold A+B+X+Y when booting and wait, the Xbox should reboot and the X3 would have reset to factory.

This only works with the newer X3 BIOSes, so make sure you have it flashed to the chip. You can boot the backup BIOS to reflash.

I too have had this problem if i flash through network using the backup flash and upload bios via flasbios 3. I found if you go to an older bios get the screen for x3 config and flash using flasfxp directly to the bank you require I found the bios works where previously it locked up :)

Thanks I had overlooked that for some odd reason.

I guess this is part of the said password bug, after setting a password the A+B+X+Y function doesn't work so the only way to get back in is to flash to older bios.
