IMPORTANT

MAKE SURE WHEN YOU ENTER YOUR PASSWORD YOU CONTINUE TO HOLD ON THE WHITE BUTTON, OTHERWISE IT WILL AUTO START YOUR DASHBOARD and you will NOT be able to get into Config Live :)

Thanks I had overlooked that for some odd reason.

I guess this is part of the said password bug, after setting a password the A+B+X+Y function doesn't work so the only way to get back in is to flash to older bios.
So how can you flash to an older bios if you did set a password and the A+B+X+Y doesn't reset it to a factory default?

Ok i just figured out solution, there is a bug with the latest bios that if u set a bios password, it does not ask for the password on boot. as someone suggested on another thread, downgrade to 1892_BETA Bios, boot up, itll ask you for password, enter password and go erase that crap lol.

Then reupgrade back to the latest bios, and never set a password again.
Opun flashing with 1892_beta it did not ask for password although I never recall setting a password to begin with. I do however have the problem of being stuck at the rox my box page, which did not begin until I tried to download the UnleashX dash from the disk I burnt ( thanks to Martin C) to the F drive of my box. I'm using X3 on a v 1.4 and had just copied the dash from the disk to both C and F drive.

I have the 1.6b freezing at the logo, if I boot with the Evox boot disc and hold A,B,X,Y. it will boot the disc. can the bios be put on an evox disc and be updated?

If you can boot to a disc, its probably not a password problem but maybe a corrupt dashboard on the hard drive.

Hold the white button and see if you can boot to X3 CL.
If you can, reinstall a dashboard via FTP or use your boot disc. And you should have updated your backup bios too! Make sure you have a way of getting back to FlashBIOS.

You should have the backup BIOS still available to you..

As for an older BIOS, you can download them from the usual places...

That will only boot one of the two 1MB Banks and he's already said he's flashed over them.

Read the installation tutorials (and the many forum posts) and you'll see you press power and eject together.
