freeze trying to flash

v1.5 board

I am trying to flash the chip. it loads to the flashbios screen and when i try to update the flashbios or even flash the chip with the 1959 bios the LAN led kicks on and then the power/eject starts blinking and everything freezes from there. What is going on??

no hdd connected or cd-rom.

the modchip was tried in another xbox and the same thing is happening. i also tried to flash the bios from the HD and it does the same thing.

well we found something else out. we tried to flash the bios again and i let it sit there for a min, i turned the power off but i noticed if i held down on the power button the bios started to flash but then the power would turn off cause i was pressing the button. any idea??
