Hello,
I use my XBox alot, but I do not often go into the BIOS menu. I just decided that I wanted to update XBMC, so I turned the power off, then turned it back on, and held down the white button. This is how I usually go to the BIOS menu, the last time having do so maybe a few weeks ago. The only difference is now, it seems to lock up right after the splash screen has completed its animation, and the X3 logo appears on the screen. The LCD displays the message I programmed in long ago.
I have turned off and turned on this thing many times with the same result. If I hold onto the white button it locks up. If I do not, it happily continues to load XBMC, and behaves as normal, loading up XBMC, etc.
I have removed the network cable, with no effect.
I have removed the A/V cables (I have the HD Pak).
I cannot go to http://myxbox.ip.address.
The "protect" light is red on the switch.
All of the BIOS bank lights are off.
Could anyone please shed some light on this. I have not done anything (of note) recently which might explain why this has all of a sudden occured, but I am anxious to get it fixed.
Thank you very much for you time and effort,
Robert
