  • Console Type: Jasper
  • Programmer Used: JR v2
  • NAND Size: 256
  • Dashboard version: 17150
  • CB Version: 6754
  • Screenshot of NAND details from J-Runner: Jrunner pic below
  • J-Runner log
  • updflash.bin log (if applicable)
  • Image of the CR4 XL, and the MOBO will come tomorrow.
  • Was the console working before you started: Yes. 100% fine
  • Do you get a green debug light appear on the CR4 XL chip 4-5sec? well no. it boots after first
  • How long is the light on for each time : glitches as soon as i power on, sometimes will have to glitch twice to boot, but very rare.

Problem.
I got this jasper BB working good and after testing and even slight playing it stays on with no freezing,
Then i go to boot a GoD and it freezes when i try to load a level.
Try it again and works fine.
back to dashboard, and load a arcade game... freezes at menu screen.
Xell will boot no issues, i did have to wire my CPU_RST wire Alone through one hole and the rest through another.
Soldering is good and good points, even retouched several points on the board to make it look fresh and not cold joints.
The placement of the Cr4 xl is under the DVD by the Hdd connector.
I do have 12v mod on the jasper (only cause im paranoid)
AND had 0 bad blocks on the nand and im not gonna use that white cpu_rst wire it has been bad to me. lol

but how would i go about placement of the CPU_RST wire?
as stated ill post pics of the MOBO and the CR4 xl tomorrow.

I wasnt sure if the SMC change applied to the jasper, but ill give that a go. thanks for helping me in that direction.

i used the 12v fan mod only cause i am paranoid,
Stock - 50C
12v - 39C
thought it wouldnt affect anything since i got the power source from the bottom of the board where the power connector is at.
Well ill take it off and take a few shots of the board for you all.
This is my First ever 360 mod.
But thanks for the help. ill be back in a bit after. :)

The 12v fan mod is bad, it can cause problems down the line with blown mosfets. You are much better off changing target temps in dashlaunch, or the smc.

Well update. i have now played it in games and been trying to duplicate the freezing. nothing so far.
I removed the 12v fan mod, cleaned the old thermal paste and reapply some on the cpu and gpu.
Move the CPU_RST wire more inward under the mobo.
uploading the pictures of my mobo... brb ;D

Those are my QSB's and under the CPU they arent bridged or anything. its just the angle of the shot. i also have limited room to work. so its on the floor of my room. lol but i tried to solder the best i can. followed the tut from the youtube channel moddingeveryday
