Freezing on Games

Having problems with Madden 2005, and MVP Baseball 2004 freezing up after a period of time (lets say just after a game or in the middle of one). Anyway tried updating the BIOS to latest 1959 and went through a few tweaks to help out my situation --->

1) Up the fan speed to 90%
2) Set clock accordingly for some auto-save games
3) Set IGR (In Game Reset) in Evox to NO
4) And again upgraded the BIOS from 1835 to 1959

This still begins to freeze during the middle of game play, has anyone had the same problems or any suggestions to help my situation. I would be much appreciative...

Twinbird said:
You can download system updates from Xbox.com.

These updates will not harm your console. If you don't use your consoles on XBL you will not get banned from XBL or have anything corrupted.
You can still be banned, if the console is flagged and you connect to update, you will get banned. The update won't have anything to do with it, it's the fact that your connecting a (possibly) flagged console to XBL. So if you never play online, just do what Twinbird said and download it to a flash drive and update from there, just to be safe.

he will need a hdd/mu to accept the update to begin with just borrow one from urself or another friend then use the flash drive once updated and configured.

If this new update can detect LT, then I don't think it really matters whether you go back to ofw before updating, once you go on xbl, it will be detected, if that's what this update does. I'm gonna take a leap of faith and update with LT w/o
going back to stock. Wish me luck!

doing this update will re enable your hdd functions,ie.being able to install games to hdd again, its the most useful update yet.
