Freezing on Games?

Having problems with Madden 2005, and MVP Baseball 2004 freezing up after a period of time (lets say just after a game or in the middle of one). Anyway tried updating the BIOS to latest 1959 and went through a few tweaks to help out my situation --->

1) Up the fan speed to 90%
2) Set clock accordingly for some auto-save games
3) Set IGR (In Game Reset) in Evox to NO
4) Deleted CACHE files on E:\CACHE
5) And again upgraded the BIOS from 1835 to 1959

This still begins to freeze during the middle of game play, has anyone had the same problems or any suggestions to help my situation. I would be much appreciative...

I'm thinking that might be a part of the Evox cache, but I've heard of the cache being stored possibly in those other directories. There's a post that says to clean them all up. I'm thinking that the cache probably gets swapped once you run out of space on each partition, hence the cache being stored down the road to --> x, y, z partitions. My last solution to this is to delete the Games Save from those two games, so strange because thats the only games that cause a problem. Other graphic instensive games have no problem Halo 2, Battlefront, Fable, etc... No patches for Madden, just roster patches...

delete everything you find on x y and z as thats all game cache. it'll be like running the game brand new so things may load a bit slower first time through something but dont worry you wont lose you game saves. Im not sure if that will help or not but its worth a try. I dont think its a bios issue but could possibly.

I had a copy of GTA vice city and when i gave it to my friend his xbox couldnt get it to load and he has a samsung drive! So i backed it up to his hdd and no copy errors and it froze at the same point. meanwhile i backed it up on my hdd and it worked flawlessly. I decided to remove his hdd and slip it in my box and it worked fine but after i put it back in his it froze again. prety weird so i was thinking its because he has an older mod (x2.3 lite with 4981.67 on there).

Ya everything is gone on all those directories (actually I check those directories also for cache files but they were only stored on the E:\CACHE), I did all those tweaks last night and my roomate started playing Madden with the new BIOS and all, it was about half way through the second game in the second period when he called me and said that it bombed again. Maybe it could be Evox, you think? He got a little farther on it because it was locking him up to where he couldn't get through a game. I didn't check to see if IGR was enable on the X3 Bios (I'm thinking it was enable by default and having Evox enable at the same time could cause conflict). Maybe a newer version of Evox, who knows I willing to try anything for those games...

Buying new Xbox 360 for modding.

Hi everyone. I am a newbie in modding xbox 360. I want to buy Xbox 360 and would try to mod it..just wondering if what is the best choice..the Xbox 360 arcade or Xbox 360 elite? I only want to play offline and i would not play online games. I'm also residing now in Japan. so is Xbox that are sold here can be mod too? I really need help on deciding in this one. Sorry for my inappropriate english.

All Xbox 360 DVD drives can be flashed at the moment. It does not make any difference if you buy an arcade or an elite (or if you live in Japan) - they will both most likely have one of the newest LiteOn drives in it, which requires cutting traces and soldering on the drives PCB (so it may be best to get someone else to mod it for you).

Re: Buying new Xbox 360 for modding.

I think there's nobody here in Japan now hacking xbox 360...and if there someone else, it's hard to find that person. What would be the materials needed to flash xbox 360? Can i flash it without buying any materials? Or i need to buy some kit? I have a compatible motherboard with SATA ports.

Re: Buying new Xbox 360 for modding.

You will need something like THIS to extract the data from the drive.

Also you can find the Maximus 360 Xtractor further down the page which is required to power the drive during the flashing - using the xbox to power the drive during this process can cause you to be banned from xbox live.
