I'm going through all the misc 360's I have collected without dvd drives. I found another jasper 512mb that I'm trying to get the dvd key for.

If I boot with out the cr attached it boots fine.

With cr all soldered in on nor it boots fine.

With the cr on prog the red led is faintly lit and it is glitchy and sometimes freezing when booting.

All with orig nand.

I have checked all my points for continuity already.

The cap installed shouldn't have any effect on normal booting correct?

I'll take some pics as soon as I get home in a little bit a well.

PRG is for programming the CoolRunner...

So why are you trying to boot your console with it set to PRG? You should've programmed it first, then soldered it in and switch to NOR (or Normal).

Sorry martin, just got home. Here's some pics.

I tried the default wiring as well with the same results.

I was just trying the blue wire in different spots.

Everything looks good and it's booting in NOR mode. You don't need the CR connected to the console in PRG mode so don't worry about it. I was more concerned you had a short, but all looks ok.

So the console freezing with the cr connected in prog mode is nothing to worry about martin?

It does boot just fine without the cr, just haven't had my other one freeze with the cr installed and in prog mode.

It might be a dodgy switch on the CR, as when switched from NOR to PRG it should cut the power from the 3.3v standby pad.

If it's working on NOR then it won't be a problem either way.

I finally got back to working on this rgh. After I make the ecc file. I get 2-3 flashes and it stops. No xell though. I am using multibuilder 0.7 and cmd (nandpro usb: +w64 image_00000000.ecc) to flash. I have tried multibuilder 0.2,0.4, and 0.6 as well.

If I reflash orig nand it boots just fine. Wiring and soldering are still same as above pictures.

Here is a copy of my nand as well.

No I had the cap on from the start. I removed it and I get the same results. 1-3 flashes, but no xell. Also boots to orig nand dash without the cap. With the cap off, it boots the orig dash in 1-2 flashes as well.

The reason I asked for more pics is there's a via that's right under the insulation which goes to GND and I thought it's was a little too close to the exposed wire.

Desolder the green wire, trim about 1mm from the end and solder it from the other direction.

Look at pic #2 in my sticky here:

I have been using multibuilder 0.7. I just tried the other versions to see if it made any difference. I also tried creating the ecc file and flashing it from my laptop to see if it made any difference.

It is still freezing with the cr on prog and the red light is faintly lit. It also flickers a bit while it is booting. With it on norm it boots orig nand fine.

ECC File

I might try a different cr, but I don't think that would be an issue if it is glitching the orig nand.
