I just tried to extract the key off of my Phat LiteOn drive using a USBXtractor Pro v2 and Vampire Spear probe. I think I accidentally placed the 3v3 probe on a metal contact, which created a spark. Now the drive does not function properly at all, and the MTK chip gets VERY hot quickly. There are no signs of any burns anywhere. I noticed that there are services to extract the key for sending in a PCB. Is it possible to get my key extracted from this drive? I would be willing to purchase a new drive and flash my key onto it.

If the Lite-On is from a HDMI XBOX it would be easier to get a key recovery via RGH.

It is from an HDMI Xbox... however it has been updated to the latest dashboard from 2/14 (14717 I think?) and I have a phat model so I don't believe the RGH would work in my case??

Awesome I will talk to him. Buying another drive isn't a problem, but not having that key makes my console kind of useless in this state .
