LITEON 0225 friend screwed up liteon he dont have key

hello all just got an xb slim drive in that someone has messed up its bad ill take a pic but for now ill upload a pic of the board and the damage with indication anyone know a quick fix via just jumping the missing parts

worst part is he aint dumped it or got key :crazy: before attempting

its damaged at the mpx01 point there is a about 6 resistors just up to the left of the mediatek chip

they are all off due to bad soldering or whatever he has done lol ill attemp a repair but i dont have thes resistors to hand so was wondering cant i just soler wire in from mediatek chip to point where they were located

there is no quick fix via just jumping the missing parts because the ones you see damaged might not be all that's wrong you will need a pic posted of the actual pcb in question so people can see what's going on to some scale

picture shown now what i need is a alternate place so i can wire legs of mediatek chip direct to there via's after those resistors its a chance it may just work after this is done please can anyone help im confident about soldering etc so just where i could route those to

to be wiring the legs to alternate place would be the opposite side of the blown resistors but even then there would be no resistance when powered, so i cant see that working out for you this is not like a broken trace there is resistance involved so even trying to see it when powered would be a problem im sure.
If it was me if i knew the damage was to bad and time was involved id lift the ic chip and plant it to a donor pcb and dump it or RGH you could give Teajunkie a pm see can he help you out..

Unless the solder pads are actually torn from the board, this literally should take like 5 minutes to fix.

I've got a TON of replacement caps/resistors from my treasure trove of 300+ consoles, I am sure if need be, I could get this repaired for you fairly cheap and easily.

Those are capacitors you have lifted so they do need to be there.

rebuild, replace the missing caps or transplant the mtl chip to another board

if i was you i would glinch it with coolrunner get the dvd key from xell and inject it into a new drive.
thats if you cant get this board to work ofcourse.

It would have to a permanent rgh if its 0225.

true as he would need the original dummy the key would be no good on its own if it was a 9504 he could rebuild it

i have used just the key manually spoofed into a new drive totally different model too.. like hitachi to benq just swaped the key and it worked. so your saying the slim drives cant be done this way?

look, there is no way you can inject a drive key into 0225 firmware unless you got the orig full dump of the drive or the dummy file for your console.

but you can put your drive key into any firmware below 0225 for the rgh console.

when i say below 0225 i mean 9504/0272.

It helps if you read and educate yourself before posting - like w tell you to in the big post that says "IMPORTANT READ FIRST"

and for the record - you cannot swap/spoof drives any more either - that's also been for the last year. Again you'd know that as per the reasons already given.
