first installed my x3 on my v1.0 using the pin header and everything was awesome. I installed the newest bios, and away I went.

I downloaded evox, installed it, downloaded XBMC, installed it and I was in movie viewing heaven for a couple of days.

then all of a sudden I kept getting error code 7 about 60% of the time (hard drive time-out), when I wiggle and jiggle all the cables and turn my machine back on it worked flawlessly. If I shut down I would have to re-jiggle the cables on the hard drive / dvdrom. I tried a new cable, but to no avail.

now, my xbox will boot to evox but! it goes very slow. almost 1 frame every 5 seconds. When it finally goes and boots so that the main xbox logo is off the screen, and I push arrow down to go to the LANUCH Menus, it takes about 1 minute to get down 1 button press.

do I have loose connections? should I check my d0 again? could my x3 be loose on the header?

I just dont get how it can go from awesome to no working,

I must also add, that I cannot get to the flashbios part of the modchip. When i push the POWER and EJECT buttons the FLASHBIOS 3.0.0 comes up but it hangs on START USB INIT.

I had that problem but it started working after i disconnected the power connecter I had going to my jewel light from my power hd power cable. It sounds like your ide cable needs to be replaced.

Partition 2 on HDD Flash

I have sucessfully flashed a 120gb WD1200BEVT HDD using hddhackr V1.2.2 the latest version of hddhackr. I know the new version creates the partitions on the drive when flashed but does this make the drive backward compatible or do I need to do something else with xplorer360 extreme? This might be a stupid question but how would I run xplorer260 extreme if my flashed hd is in my laptop? The only os is on my usb drive wich is msdos for the flash? I do not have an orginal HDD so what files would I need to make the drive backward compatible and what do I do? I am not saving any information but I just want to make the drive backward compatible.

Re: Partition 2 on HDD Flash

you have to copy the info in partion 2 from an old drive or download it somewhere and then copy it to the new drive

Re: Partition 2 on HDD Flash

Does it matter what size HDD I get the info for Partion 2? If I got the info from a 20gb Hdd can I use it on a 120gb or 250gb? And how would I do this using msdos?
