When I was originally testing the Demon on the PC I noticed that when switching between NANDS that BOTH blue leds would turn on and off. I installed my demon, dumped my NAND about 8 times and wrote one of the dumps to the Demon NAND. After reassembling the case i noticed only one led lights up on the right(switch/button side). Did I damage it reassembling the case or is it because i only grounded the switch side?

You got an Elite console with a 512mb nand ???? Your console should have a 16mb nand and with a demon takes aprox 30 to 45 sec .... Something maybe its wrong on your soldering.

I think its possible that something is putting pressure on the led thats why its not lighting up. Take the faceplate off and try again

The Led can be the ribbon when he assemble back the console ... for me what its strange is that he said it took him 8 min to dump the nand

You installed the DemoN, yes? You should therefore own a multimeter. Check for voltage on the LED itself. Really no need to start a thread on this.
I don't own a multimeter and thought before I drove for two hours and went and purchased a $20 multimeter to check a $1.00 led only to find out that its to show theres power to the glitch chip(as I don't have one installed till the R-JTAG is released) or that it is only on when put in PC mode I'd check and see if its normal operation (I searched about 10 pages into the Demon Support to see if I could locate a similar issue or statements/specs regarding the usage of the LEDS on the usb board). If I offended anyone or wasted anyones time with utilizing the support forum I do apologize.

You are soldering equipment and don't own a multimeter to check your work? Get one. You shouldn't be soldering anything without something to use for testing. No offence caused, it just supports why DemoNs are for professional installation (read the card). Since you cannot report what the voltage is, you're effectively working blind meaning help/support is almost impossible.

The majority of my soldering skill has come from RC electric cars, never really needed a multimeter as they were pretty simple circuits. I feel my soldering job was pretty good for my first Demon install, it stayed pretty clean and tidy. I picked up a multimeter though and once I check that LED I'll let you know my findings.

There is power to the led so I removed the front usb board and looked at it under a magnify glass and it appears to be broken. What would be a replacement LED for the board?

That's why a meter is important as it stopped you from looking down the wrong avenue :)

TBH I wouldn't worry about it - it's 1 LED.

Yeah, I'm just going to leave it for now. I want to take it off and attach it with some servo tape as the pads that are with it are not sticking so well. I'll put in the new led when I get time to do that since i have to remove it anyways.
