FSD 2.2 won't find games (how to set paths?)

Ok, initially when I did my RGH and installed DL and FSD it only took me a minute to figure this out and have all my games and XBLA showing up in the scan. Since I had issues the other day upgrading Dashlaunch (since solved) I have not been able to get my game paths set up properly so that FSD will find them.

Here is how my paths are set up:

External USB Drive:

games are here
USB/partition3/games

xbla is here
USB/partition3/content/0000000000000000/xbla folder/etc etc

And here is how my path scan is set up:

usb/partition3/games 5 levels
usb/partition3/content 5 levels

I've tried these scan paths what seems like 20 different combinations and I've even tried moving things around on my external hard drive but nothing seems to work. Hell suddenly xm360 isn't finding all my XBLA...it only sees the few that are on my internal HDD1.

Any suggestions?

Are there any rules the paths on the USB hard drive should follow? I've done all of this and it still won't find my games properly...thats why I was thinking maybe I had my actual paths set up wrong or something.

Edit: it finds my 360 games but none of my XBLA games.

Could this be a dash launch issue? Everything was working fine when I was running 2.26. I had a bunch of trouble upgrading but now I'm running 2.32.

You probably already tried this,

Did you try and clear data in the FSD system settings tab and do a rescan?

Clear data and reset your paths again and turn the search level to 10 and rescan.

What theme are you using for FSD?

I found that some themes I downloaded had lots of little bugs in them. Try it on the normal theme that came with fsd and see if that might help, just a thought.

another thing i'm wondering, is DL 2.32 for specific kernels? according to fsd mine is 13604. i think thats why i've been unable to install dash launch 3.0

Hmmmmm, did you try and run one of your xbla games in the folder on the hard drive though file manager to see if they work.

ok this is weird, i tried copying 5 of my xbla games into the xbox360 games folder where all of my retail games are being found to see what would happen. sure enough FSD found most of them. 3 of them it put into the XBLA section and 1 went into the Games section. i guess it didn't know what to do with the other one.

I've been moving my games and xbla around on this usb hard drive all morning, each time I would reset game data in FSD and delete the game paths and recreate them. Nothing worked. For some reason FSD started finding the xbla suddenly but all my regular games disappeared - so precisely the opposite of what had been happening. I did a clear data once again under "reset settings" and then also reset skin settings. Now FSD seems to find both games and xbla. I'm afraid to touch ANYTHING as I feel like this could "break" again at the drop of a hat...and I still can't get my Dungeon Defenders DLC (or any DLC for that matter) working which is what started this whole mess in the first place. :( *sigh* I can't wait until Fusion is ready, I'm sick of dealing with crap like this.

Yeah the DLC goes on your internal hdd in the content folder with all the 0000000's. I don't know why FSD sometimes has problems with game paths and finding games.

My buddy had the same problem once, I told him to do the same reset data and it seemed to work and he also has his xbla games on his external hdd. Glad the games are showing up for you now tho...

Oh yeah, are you using XM360 to unlock your dlc? if not you should get it.

Using DashLaunch with contpatch set to TRUE will patch most (if not all) DLC :).
That is also another good thing to make sure you have set.

I just use XM360 so I can see all the DLC/XBLA/TU's and save games that I have on my system and see to make sure everything is unlocked, that just me tho...lol

yeah i figured that out. xm360 finds it and its all unlocked but i'm not really sure what to do with it from there.
Well if you have your DLC in the content folder with all the 0000's and XM360 says its unlocked it should be working.

Some games need a TU for the DLC to work just in case you didn't already know that. Is your FSD updated to the newest version?
