So I feel retarded... I had everything working
I then updated the dash to 16202 then all was fine
now it wont allow me to connect to the internet on FSD3

These are the settings that I have for DL

I also disabled live strong thinkibng that would help but it did not. I have tried may different cables thinking that maybe it just stopped working (cat5) and nothing.

In the dash inside the flash (stockish looking one) it says that its connected but it cant conect to the internet meaning that the NIC didnt go down.
I also reset my router to no effect.

Any help?

Connecting to the internet and getting an IP address are two entirely different things.

Check your network cable is connected to the Xbox and ensure the other end is connected to the router. Test with another device to ensure it's giving out IP addresses.

Reset the Network settings in the Xbox dashboard.

Very well, in that case then im not getting an IP address at all, I tried a static and automatic with none working. Both are connected and I have been switching the ports on the router with the ones I use for my computer and my computer is still connected.

I Have reset the network settings and the cables were being used on a computer prior to me trying them.

Belay my last... My reset and your reset was not the same thing.. I re looked at it and in the tab to the right next to what I reset (back to automatic) it had the option to reset to factory defaults.

Now it works..

Do you know what could have caused this so that If it happens to someone I could explain it?

did you build the new image from the most recent nand or an older one
the image will have the same settings etc as the nand you built the image off
