freePSX runs from .xex file (launches from FSD) but i've had no success with it, choppy sound and terrible video (useless)

i've also tried pscxr but i can't get it running from xell, get stuck at executing...

pscxr is the app i use and hasn't let me down so far. It boots the few games i have but only played resident evil 2 fully completed only probs is it becomes very slightly choppy during the cut scenes :) not sure if it makes a difference but i ripped my games to .bin files maybe it cant handle some extensions

I've seen similar issues with running things from XeLL reloaded.

Have you tried running the Xell launch (included with Dashlaunch) and then firing it off from there?

i've tried it on 2 rgh's and one jtag and so far no one has managed to launch the xenon.elf file!
very strange. Have you tried using front usb bottom port thats how i do it.

with folder pcsxr and file xenon.elf on the root of the usb then obviously all files folders and roms are located within folder pcsxr

Edit: try what martin c has suggested as thats how i boot pcsxr 90% of the time however i dont have a problem either way. my board is a falcon but dont thing that should make much difference

yes tried it on one of the consoles, think it was the jtag but i bumped into other issues and put it to rest, but could give it another go.
