First time i have ran into this problem after many RGH's

I have a 250GB external HDD hooked up to a slim

First off, i have always used the same FSD 3 installer disc. For the first time, i am stuck at "preparing update". It does nothing and i have to reboot the console

I then installed the FSD 3 files directly to the HDD via pc

I got FSD 3 running fine, BUT when i create path for xbox 360, it only picks up 5 items vs the 30 that are on the HDD
I have tried scanning at 5, and 10.
I have tried rebooting so it auto scans, nothing
I have tried manual scan, nothing

At the bottom if it does scan, it says 50+ items, but only 5 show

Help please

all you have to do is download the fsd zip and copy the folder to root of the hdd.

I did

data
media
plugins
skins
database.xmplr
default.xex
live.json
nuiIdentiy.bin.be
nuisp1033
nxeart

Installed root of HDD

No improvement

I have reformatted the HDD to fat32 3x

I launch fsd3 through xex menu. Works, but not picking up games even though it's downloading at the bottom.
It'll show 5 different games with the same artwork, ex: GTAv artwork for 5 different games
In fsd3 i can see the games in the root when setting pathways
Games are not showing and not consistent in fsd3

I had something similar to this problem. After a lot of messing about it turned out that the HDD was on its way out. I tried a different HDD and it sorted the problem. Av u got another HDD to try.

in the gamelist, press and hold LB then while pressing LB press X, then X.
or go to General Settings, Reset Settings, Clear Data, OK.

Hi

This did not work
FSD auto scans Bottom shows status http 50+ items, downloading, and still nothing
I even tried a new hdd, and same thing. Re-installed FSD 3, same thing

all titles show up in root, but fsd does not show them. few items show, same artwork

Rebooted, and of the 11 games shown, they all have Castlevania artwork
Bottom is scanning items, showing 500kbps, and nothing

A galaxy far far away....
setting scan depth to 5 and 10 is not good

there should never really be a need to exceed scan depth greater than 3

for example on an external (sorry i dont use god files, i extract my discs)

games\game name\game.xex with path set as games - scan depth = 2
emu\emu name\emu.xex with path set as emu - scan depth = 2
xbla\titleid\00000000\xbla game with path set as xbla - scan depth = 3

works the same on internal assuming you are using content\0000000000000000\ as your root path

hope this helps with scan depth

on a side note, might be worth asking for help at realmodscene.com or pop into #freestyledash on efnet
