Hi all,

I've just finished installing two X3 modchips . One in my friend's and one in my own xbox. The xbox version where 1.1 and 1.6b (this is mine).

Everthing worked out perfect for my friend's xbox (he is a happy camper now:D)
For me its seems a bumpy road.:(

I managed to install the latest x3 bios (1959) via http.
Xbox boots up fine.

But now when i try to connect to my xbox through FTP i run in to a problem.

The xbox and my computer are connected via a router with build in switch.
I can ping my xbox.

When i connect via FTP the connection is established
I'm prompted for username , i fill in x3
I'm prompted for password , i fill in x3
then ALL clients i tried just halt . nothing happens and time out occurs after a few minutes

i tried PASV mode , used cross cable to connect my xbox to my pc .

Did anyone ran into the same problem as i ?
Can anyone help me out ?

Help would be apriciated.

The 1959 bios has a glitch that happens on some boxes (odds are about the same as being hit by lightning) at any rate the new bios pending release has that issue resolved. To FTP to your box you would more likely be successful at present by getting evox or the like to it and booting to it so that a FTP connection can be established.
