No idea, to be honest! I have the same setup as yourself, wireless access for my laptop. Never had any issues like the one you're reporting though.

Do the transfers only fail when you are sending LOTS of files? How is it on just a few? I assume you've got a router - have you changed any settings within it? Not sure if you've web access from your laptop either, but do large downloads from the web fail too?

You didn't mention anything about a router - any settings been changed?

Not sure what kind of wireless card you have for your laptop. Do you know anyone with a laptop, where you could try your card in? Just to see if you have the same issues with a different laptop.

theres 2 laptops at the house.....the router hasnt been changed or touched.....and again with the app xbox-saves manager things work perfectly uploading and dl'ng....theres got to be a clue with that......its not a size issue because the files that stop in the whole process are random sizes lengths and types......next time im over there ill take notes and try some tests..... thanks for the help so far

Just to get some background-

Can you transfer files between the two laptops with out issues? Perhaps share a folder, then connect and try and transfer a couple of files.

How are the Xbox's connecting to the network? Wired/Wireless?

Are you trying to send files to Multiple Xbox's at the same time?

If your using WinXP/2k, do you see any wireless network errors before the file hangs?

Which FTP client are you using? you could try Smart Ftp

If you boot to the X3 Config Live, and FTP using its embedded server, and see if it transfers?

which dash/FTP setup are you using currently?

You could transfer files on one laptop, then use NetStumbler
to monitor the wireless networks and see if there are any hickups that occur when the lock up happens.

Just some things to check.

i don't even see why this is still being discussed.....im not trying to be a smartass...but he said he has a crossover cable, because he said it works fine when he uses it...why why not just keep using the cable???? thats my only question
