Hi, I am trying to FTP some large files to my xbox (1.6b w/ X3). The files are hitting the xbox ok, but I seem to lose the end of the file. Near the end of the FTP, the HD light quits flashing but the LAN light continues to flash.

I have tried using both Avalaunch and 1959 as the FTP server. I also have tried using both FlashFXP from WinXP and a staight FTP from Linux (Redhat 9).

Any ideas?

haha :L

It may seem hard to get your head around at first glance (it did for me, and everybody else) but re-read the tutorials and watch a few videos and realize its not that hard at all.

You have to be able to use a soldering iron for a start though. :L

I thought the same thing you did. Get some old crappy PCB or network cards laying around, and get a soldering iron. Practice soldering pins to the network card and de-soldering.

Then, try it on your xbox.

The hardest part is getting past the thought that if you f**k something up, you just wasted 200 bucks.

To be honest, you can get a used xbox for 100-80 bucks. So if you do f**k something up, no biggy considering the money you would save.

Think thats were most people f**k up, they don't practice or have a go at something else with the soldering iron first before jumping straight in and soldering the console!
