Chip: X2.6
BIOS : Evox M8 (latest one for 1.6)
Dashboard: Able to burn the Latest Evox Dashboard to a cd-rw and got it to boot up on the box...
I went to setings, got the IP address (192.168.100.10), went to Flash XP, but I could not connect. Tried with and without the "xbox" username and password. Tried to ping it through the cmd prompt, could not ping that IP address...I believe it is connected properly, because when I plug/unplug the network cable from the back of the xbox in the "Settings" menu, I see the info dissapear, then reappear once plugged in...Router hook up, works fine with Live...Anyone got any tips?

His got a X2.6 Chip, so X3CL won't work...

Seems like a network issue still? Is IP address dynamic or static and is it the same subnet range of the PC? I would of thought it would ping okay. I'm pinging my xbox now....

You need to make sure that your on the same subnet as your xbox. You listed 192.168.100.10, the "100" being the subnet. You can do a couple things to get this to work, first, if you are connecting directly to a pc via crossover cable, make sure your network card's ip address is set to 192.168.100.1. Second choice, edit the evox.ini file on your comp to change the ip address assigned to the xbox and reburn everything to your cd-rw with the new .ini file.

Under the [Network] section of the ini file, either change "StaticIP = Yes" to "StaticIP = No" to enable DHCP if you are connecting through a router, or change "Ip = 192.168.100.10" to something more like "Ip = 192.168.1.10" or "Ip = 192.168.0.10" depending on what subnet you are using. You will also need to change "Defaultgateway = 192.168.100.1" to "Defaultgateway = 192.168.1.1" or "192.168.0.1" to reflect the changes in the subnet above.

You might be able to change the ip address on the xbox directly in the settings menu of Evox, but since it is on a cd, I am not sure if it will work, and it will only be a temporary solution that will have to be done everytime you turn on the xbox.

That being said, get yourself the newest x2 bios for your chip and ditch the Evox M8.
