i have followed the tutorial on flashing and ftp'ing but i am unable to stay connected through my ethernet connection. I am running an x3 no a 1.0v that is loaded with x3 bios 1959. I have ip set to 192.168.02 and 01 with the xp firewall disabled. Is there another firewall i may be missing or am i entering the ip and user, password incorrectly into fxp flash? any help would be appreciated. Flash fxp says connecting to xbox, then connected then it gives me the boot.

8) ftping is not easy but i have found success. i had to disable all other ethernet connects and enter the ip 192.168.0.3 with the subnet 255.255.255.0 default must be blank in network tcp/ip properties. if you have an err0.0.0 on xbox then you will be unable to ftp the xbox, disable firewall on pc, diable dhcp on xbox and then enable, cold boot, check for ip in lower left, if not redo above, once ip appears open flashfxp, go to site manager, enter that ip as 192.168.0.etc user x3, pass x3 and connect. later

ask a chemist you will always get a reaction.

if your having problems ftping into your xbox to transfer files etc ... why dont u just use your dashboard (avalanch/evox) to do it?

cause i KNOW this work on a ROUTER (i have a linksys)

just use the ip address u see in the bottom left corner of avalaunch and use flashfxp to connect to that ip address with the username/password of "xbox" (without the " )

What kind of connection is this? Router? Hub? Crossover cable??

I am running an x3 no a 1.0v that is loaded with x3 bios 1959. I have ip set to 192.168.02 and 01
I hope that's not really the address you used. It's not a valid address.

Is there another firewall i may be missing or am i entering the ip and user, password incorrectly into fxp flash?
There could be another firewall but we don't know what kind of connection you have.
We also don't know what user name and password your using.

This makes just as much sense as the last guys post. Do you think you could provide a little more information??

I had the same problem then I went into settings, networkin info and enabled DHCP, rebooted, then it worked for me... DHCP was disabled by default ( at least for me )

And when you connect you should see all your drive partitions.
