Ftp with laptop using wireless and ethernet

I have alienware laptop and wireless setup and ethernet connection. Now I set the ethernet ip to 192.168.1.103 and when i boot the xbox it comes up with the 1359 dash of options and i got network setup and manually put the same ip in and set the gateway and dns and open flashxp and try to connect and it does not. I want to put the avalaunch dash on but have not be successfull n connecting any suggestions.

The IP address should auto generate if you are using a DHCP server/router.... Make sure you have the router set up properly first and have your firmware updated so that it is compatible with everything... If you are not set up with a router, I may suggest that is the easiest way to get everything set up and very easy to ftp to the box then!!

thanks i got it to work. I got Avalaunch to install and figured out how to put the skins on. Now when ever I boot the x3 1959 screen still comes up instead of Alavaunch. I also get a screen that pops up on the Avalaunch screen saids my f dirve has no space how can I delete the files on it that I accidently put on it when they are not shown on the ftp screen? :arrow:

first to boot to avaluanch automatically u need to turn x3cl of autoboot....should be the first option in the first menu....and try deleting those files with the avaluanch file manager

THANKS ALOT. I'LL TRY IT. I TRIED TO COPY MY GAMES FOR BACKUP AND I GOT QUIK TO ISO IT AND WENT TO SEE IF IT WOULD PLAY IN MY XBOX AND IT DOES NOT RECONIZE IT ANY SUGGESTIONS.

I have a suggestion. Read the tutorial on the home page here titled "How to make xbox discs"

That is only for burning to discs if your installing the game to your hard drive then It's NOT in ISO format.

Replacement liteon v9 not working.

I have modded successfully a replacement liteon v9 with lt 1.0, but everytime i connect it to the xbox the power light blinks. I have checked and rechecked the connections after modding it. Everything is a o.k., but there is also another problem, when i connect it back to pc using jungle flasher it doesn't detect the drive. I am using the new jf tutorial, and it should detect it even without the mra method. The only time jf detects the drive is when i do the mra method again. I have also checked other liteon v9 with jf by just connecting it and they are detected. I know the key is good beacuse i have checked it on a liteon v7 and a benq they both work fine, also the original liteon v9 is working fine too.

The method i am using is the MRA at this point since it is already modded with LT. The only difference is that I have no need to use the resisitor beacuse i can get it in vendor mode without it by doing a liteon erase.

I do not understand it at all. While i wait for a response i will remod it with another drive key and try it out on another xbox. Thank you.


In addition the xbox i am using the replacement drive originally has a liteon v9.

I just thought about this . Why does it not detect it unless i use the mra method? It should detect it when i connect all the traces. JF is telling me it is a good flash. It makes me think why would i have to go through the whole mra method again just to get JF to detect the drive?

this probably means you have a problem resoldering your connections

specifically look at the 3.3v cut

I have checked it with a multimeterand all the connections look good. I have soldered and resoldered just to make sure.

Actually i used the Boxxdr Method.

just place a new PCB from any lite-on in the drive and flash over it

its sometimes easier than trying to fix a messed up solder job or a fried chip

The solder job is actually really good. It might be a fried chip though, but how does the chip end up getting fried?

I dont get it. I have done so many liteon v9s, and this has never happened.

I am trying to salvage the pcb and drive because i dont have a spare.
