Ftp xbox

Hi

i am having problems trying to ftp my console. I have one NIC which at the mo i connect throught to the internet. I have tryed just plugging in the crossover cable from the xbox into the NIC but does not connect. I am running X3 bios on a 1.6 xbox.
On the ip address at the bottom it says error?

Any suggestions?

FTP is not internet. Are you sure you have a crossover cable? You need Qwix on your pc. You can download it from teamavalaunch.com but you will also need to search for winrar and download that to extract the qwixv1.01.rar file. You need to set the IP address on qwix too. You need to plug the crossover cable into your xbox and pc before you turn your xbox on.

not to worry have got sorted now. Just wondering tho, was trying to put dvd2xbox on my xbox? do i have to put it anywhere in pirticular? and how do i load it up with the x3 dash?

The x3 is not a dash, it is a bios that looks like a dash. Download a dash from xbins, ftp the dash to your f drive, put dvd2xbox in your f drive's apps folder. Then go to the x3 bios and set it to launch your dash in x3configlive. Then you can launch dvd2xbox from your dash. I recommend evo-x as your dash, it's up to you, but this one is simple to use and you can easily make your own skins. Just go to launch utils, apps, dvd2xbox.

You could just ftp dvd2xbox to your f drive if you want, and set that as a dash in x3configlive. Then when you boot your XBOX, it will go to dvd2xbox. To go to x3bios again, just hold down the white button on startup. Or if it doesn't launch dvd2xbox when you boot your XBOX, just select "reboot to dash".
