Boot into config live (press and hold white button when u power up) ...keep hold of button until cfl appears.

then
settings>network

DHCP disabled
Set static ip 192.168.1.100
set subnet 255.255.255.0
set gateway 192.168.1.1
set dns1 leave
set dns2 leave
ftp login x3
ftp password x3

u don't state what your pc is running assuming windows xp

Start -> Settings -> Network Connections
right click the Local Area Connection,
dbl-click on "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)"
select Use the following IP address.
Then enter the following info:
IP Address: 192.168.1.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.100 (does not really matter)
restart if prompted also disable your firewall

fire up ftp and u should connect to 192.168.1.100 username x3 password x3

copy all of C & E to pc
shut down xbox swap drive
boot under x3 CFL and use Disk tools to prep new drive..
Lock the disk if u need to use M$ dash for XBL as an example
when partitioned and formatted reboot xbox again and enter CFL
ftp back to box and transfer c& E back from the pc.

Alright, while you are booting with the X3 ENABLED, hold down the white button. You should enter the X3 Config Live, here you'll see an IP in the bottom left hand corner of your screen. Use FlashFXP or your favourite FTP client to connect to the box, and transfer away. BTW - user/pass = x3

Hope this helps!
